The Hartford Promotes Cindy Roth to Branch Vice President of Los Angeles Branch Office

The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: HIG), one of the nation’s largest diversified financial services companies, announced that it has promoted Cindy Roth to branch vice president of The Hartford’s Los Angeles Branch Office. Prior to earning this promotion, Roth had served as the company’s Los Angeles branch manager. Roth will continue to report into the Southern California Regional office. The position of branch vice president is a new one, reflecting The Hartford’s focus on growing its business in the Los Angeles insurance marketplace. "This promotion recognizes the dynamic growth our Los Angeles office has experienced and the management expertise we are establishing in key markets to ensure our continued success in them,” explained Dan Brown, executive vice president of Sales & Distribution at The Hartford. "We look forward to Cindy continuing to grow our business in Southern California and foster the relationships that drive the company’s results in that region.” The Los Angeles Branch Office provides property & casualty coverages to individuals, small businesses and to mid- to large-size businesses. Over the past three years during Roth’s tenure as branch manager, The Hartford has increased market share in the Los Angeles territory, propelled by strong agency relationships and expanded distribution. Additionally, as branch manager, Roth has been responsible for building several of The Hartford’s industry practices in the Los Angeles territory, including Real Estate, Private Education and Technology. She is also a past recipient of the company’s President’s Award. "Through her strong leadership, Cindy has done an exemplary job of building an outstanding team in the Los Angeles office territory,” said Kevin Harnetiaux, senior vice president and Western division manager. "We enjoy an excellent relationship with our agents and brokers in the area and I am confident that Cindy and her team will take this operation to the next level." Roth joined The Hartford in 2004 as the Los Angeles branch manager. Before that she was the Regional Vice President for Everest National in California, responsible for establishing a new retail operation for that company, including growth, profit and producer management. She was also the branch executive/underwriting director for Kemper Insurance Companies, the Technology Practice leader for Marsh and a regional technology underwriting manager for the St. Paul Companies. She began her career with Travelers in the middle market insurance segment. She earned her degree in Business Administration from the University of Buffalo.
