Alcoa Intalco Works Presented with Corporate Wildlife Stewardship Award

The award will be presented to Alcoa at the Washington WaterfowlAssociation's annual banquet at 6 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Coast Hotel inBellevue, Wash.

"In recognition of Alcoa Intalco Works' long-term commitment andcontinued support of our natural resources and outdoor recreationalopportunities, it is our pleasure to present Intalco with theCorporate Wildlife Stewardship Award," said Gary Webster, president,Washington Waterfowl Association. "This special award is reserved forcorporations that have demonstrated significant contributions to ourstate's fish and wildlife resources. Since first joining our communityin 1966, Alcoa Intalco Works has demonstrated a long-term commitmentto protecting and promoting our natural resources."

Alcoa Intalco Works provides the public with access to 1,200 acresfor recreation such as hiking, bird-watching, fishing and berrypicking. Alcoa Intalco Works also maintains five freshwater ponds thatits employees built on the property for waterfowl nesting.
