Please join us at 11:45 am - 12:15 pm CT on Tuesday, April 19 for a media teleconference announcing a new state-supported Internet safety educational campaign in Texas, sponsored by First Lady Anita Perry, a member of the Internet Keep Safe Coalition.
Texas First Lady Anita Perry and Dell executive Pat Nathan will be joined by former Utah First Lady Jacalyn S. Leavitt, Chair of Internet Keep Safe Coalition, to discuss ways companies like Dell are assisting the Coalition to teach basic rules of Internet safety to children and parents, both online and in school.
Studies show one in five youth using the Internet received an online sexual solicitation and 29 percent of children using the Internet freely give out their home address if asked. The Coalition's goal is to reduce these statistics by ensuring children understand and practice safe online behavior.
