Medtronic Statement Regarding HRS' Final Recommendations on Device Performance
Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE:MDT) today offered the following comments in support of the Recommendations from the Heart Rhythm Society Task Force on Device Performance Policies and Guidelines, issued today by the Heart Rhythm Society. "We commend the Heart Rhythm Society for its leadership in defining these issues and for its efforts in bringing forth solutions,” said Steve Mahle, president of Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management business. "Many of these recommendations have been standard practice at Medtronic for over twenty years, and we look forward to working with HRS on industry-wide implementation.” "Since these recommendations were first presented earlier this year, Medtronic has taken steps to implement many of these additional approaches,” said David Steinhaus, M.D., chief medical officer of Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management business.
