ExxonMobil Volunteers Donate 826,000 Hours to Charities; ExxonMobil Highlights Volunteerism By Employees, Retirees And Their Families During National Volunteer Week
"Our employees are not only ExxonMobil's greatest asset but theyare also highly valued in the communities where they live," said RexTillerson, ExxonMobil Chairman and CEO. "What we hear repeatedly fromnon-profit organizations is that ExxonMobil volunteers are highlycapable, committed and a tremendous help to their organization. Thevolunteer grants are icing on the cake. I am very proud of ourpeople."
"For more than 50 years, ExxonMobil has given record contributionsand offered immeasurable volunteer hours to the United Way and ouraffiliated agencies to help address the diverse needs in ourcommunity," said Anna Babin, Director of the United Way of the TexasGulf Coast. During Volunteer Week, April 24-28, 2006, over 2,000ExxonMobil volunteers will volunteer in 240 projects at 48 UnitedWay-affiliated agencies throughout the greater Houston area.
In the U.S., 8,500 volunteers committed 640,000 hours to 4,800organizations that received $8.2 million. Grants were awarded in 48states and totals are highest in locations where ExxonMobil has asignificant presence such as Baton Rouge, LA- 48,000 volunteer hours,$745,000 in grants; Baytown, TX- 40,000 volunteer hours, $515,500 ingrants; Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX- 22,000 volunteer hours, $249,000 ingrants, Houston, TX- 201,000 volunteer hours, $2,904,000 in grants;and Fairfax, VA- 35,000 volunteer hours, $429,000 in grants. In 2005 ExxonMobil employees and retirees also donated $35 millionof their own money to charity and relief organizations throughcompany-sponsored programs. When combined with corporate donations,ExxonMobil, together with its employees and retirees, contributed $168million to community investments worldwide.
ExxonMobil Foundation is the primary philanthropic arm of theExxon Mobil Corporation in the United States. The Foundation and theCorporation engage in a range of philanthropic activities that advanceeducation, health and science in the communities where ExxonMobil hassignificant operations. In the United States, ExxonMobil supportsinitiatives to improve math and science education at the K-12 andhigher education levels. Recycles Day and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.

Fair & Livestock Association is to provide facilities and

work, to promote understanding and a better knowledge of
proper selection and care of livestock, and to give youth an

5) is an 18-year partner school with ExxonMobil and is located
across the street from the ExxonMobil Baytown Olefins Plant.
Comment from recipient: "With VIP grant money, our school has
been able to continue purchasing science lab equipment. This
equipment has made it possible for students to have a hands-on
approach to learning science and improve our science and math
initiatives. While we recognize how important direct
contributions are to our school, it is the ExxonMobil
volunteers who have made such an impact on our students by
demonstrating the importance of math and science and serving
as positive role models," said Rachel De Leon.

Overview of the Organization: The UWTCG provides support to
more than 80 agencies in four counties. The Houston area is
home to operational headquarters for six of our global
businesses. Over the 2005 Campaign, 6,300 employees
volunteered more than 64,000 hours at UW-affiliated agencies,
and that was a 14 percent increase over the previous year.
Every year, thousands of employees and retirees work on
volunteer projects we identify with the UW -- they build,
paint, refurbish, organize senior citizen activities.

TJHSST is administered by Fairfax County Public Schools and

Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William Counties, and the Cities of
Fairfax and Falls Church.

it's employees has been instrumental in our ability to provide
assistance to the working poor in our community. Employee
participation in our Annual Holiday Toy Drive, donating bikes,

lives of children who otherwise would go without. And, the
