Apple Pays About $60 Mln Legal Fees In Samsung Patent Case
(RTTNews) - Apple, Inc. (AAPL) paid an amount of approximately $60 million to its law firm that handles patent litigation lawsuit against Samsung Electronics (SMSN.L, SSNNF.PK, SSNLF.PK), according to media reports.
In a court filing, Apple said it expects Samsung to pay $15.7 million of the total amount it has spent in legal fees.
It is noted that the iPhone maker has paid Morrison & Foerster Law Firm a total of $56.5 million for working in the case in period between April 2011 and August 2013 and expects to pay an additional $2 million in legal fees to another firm, Wilmer Culter Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP.
The patent infringement case is investigated in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
