Wachovia Leaders to Attend 27th Annual Association for Financial Professionals Conference
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wachovia announced today its participation in the 27th annual Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) Conference, the nation's premier event for treasury and finance professionals, scheduled Oct. 15-18 in Las Vegas, Nev.
For the tenth consecutive year, Wachovia will sponsor the conference's Pinnacle Awards, which acknowledge companies that have demonstrated innovation, insightful use of technology, adherence to compliance and risk management and strategic partnering to implement creative treasury services solutions.
Wachovia executives attending the conference include: - Ranjana Clark, executive vice president and head of Treasury Services. Ms. Clark joined Wachovia in 1989 and currently leads a team of over 700 treasury professionals who provide treasury management services to the largest corporations, institutions and commercial clients. Ms. Clark holds a bachelor's in economics from Delhi University, a master's from the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad and a master's of business administration from Duke University. - Michael Daley, senior vice president and managing director of the Product Solutions Group. Mr. Daley has 19 years of corporate banking experience and currently manages the Wachovia product line, which generates over $2.5 billion in annual revenue. He holds a bachelor's in marketing from Connecticut State University and is a permanent certified cash manager. - Roger Pearce, executive vice president and managing director and head of the Client Management Group. Mr. Pearce has been with Wachovia for almost 20 years. He holds a bachelor's of business administration in accounting from Lamar University and a master's of business administration in finance from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Pearce is also a certified public accountant. - Alan Chudoba, senior vice president and head of Risk Management for Treasury Services and Commercial Demand Deposits. Mr. Chudoba joined Wachovia in 1998 and has held several risk management positions as well as led a lending line of business. He holds a bachelor's in economics and post-baccalaureate degrees in accounting from the University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a CPA. - Paul Foody, director and Product Controller Group head. Mr. Foody joined Wachovia in 1997 and manages the Finance and Accounting teams for Treasury Services, Global Financial Institutions & Trade Services and Global Capital Finance. He holds a bachelor's in accounting from Clemson University. - Brian Lambert, senior vice president and head of Business Development. Mr. Lambert joined Wachovia's Treasury Services Division in 2003 from McKinsey & Company. He is responsible for the division's strategic planning process, as well as several strategic initiatives, including divisional mergers and acquisition activity. Mr. Lambert graduated with honors from Harvard Law School and holds with highest distinction a bachelor's degree in systems engineering from the University of Virginia. - Arthur Scott, senior vice president and chief operation officer of Treasury Services. Mr. Scott joined Wachovia in 2004, previously holding positions with both Mellon Financial and Bank of America. He holds a degree in finance and accounting from the University of Maryland. - Theresa Wilson, senior vice president and chief information officer of Wachovia's Capital Management, Commercial and Wealth Technology groups. Ms. Wilson has been with Wachovia for 30 years. Ms. Wilson holds a bachelor's in mathematics from Howard University and a master's of business administration from Queens College. Also, the most recent Bank Leader Survey placed Wachovia's Treasury Services Number 1 for "Quality of Cash Management Specialists" and Number 2 for "Operational Quality" and "Quality/Timely Implementations."
