Vivendi Ranked Third Among CAC 40 Companies on Children’s Rights by Vigeo

Vivendi (Paris:VIV) was ranked third equal in a report published today by Vigeo assessing how French CAC 40 companies are integrating the guiding principles on Children’s Rights.

Vigeo, the leading European rating agency in corporate responsibility, examined how the companies included in the index complied with Children’s Rights and Business Principles set forth by Unicef, the United Nations Global Compact and the NGO "Save the Children”. Adopted in March 2012, these guidelines include ten recommendations which go well beyond the minimum age for admission to employment.

As early as 2003, Vivendi defined the protection and empowerment of youth as a strategic issue of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). This issue has been included as a criterion for variable executive compensation in 2010.
