TRADE NEWS: Agilent Technologies to Demonstrate Innovative 4G Test Solutions at Mobile World Congress

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today announced it will demonstrate its innovative 4G test solutions at the Mobile World Congress, Feb. 25-28, in Barcelona (Fira Gran Via, Booth 6D60, Hall 6).

"Agilent’s powerful wireless solutions help engineers gain greater insight, acquire increased confidence in their measurement results and overcome test challenges from product development to manufacturing and deployment,” said Benoit Neel, Agilent vice president and general manager of field operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. "We really want attendees to take advantage of the expert resources we’ll have at the show to help them better understand the intricacies of continuously evolving wireless standards and get their products to market faster.”

Agilent will demonstrate:

New high-coverage, small-footprint LTE conformance solution: Agilent’s new T4000S series LTE conformance test systems, with inter- and intra-band carrier aggregation, provide leading LTE conformance coverage in an architecture that scales from bench-top to full rack configurations with the smallest footprint in the industry. The T4000S Systems provide extensive test coverage for RCT, PCT and RRM, and validation by GCF and PTCRB for both FDD and TDD technologies. Agilent’s latest additions to its conformance systems portfolio also include the T3100S series NFC/RFID and T1000S series Bluetooth® Conformance Test Systems.

Extensive 2G/3G/LTE RF and functional test solutions: The latest capabilities on the Agilent 8960 and PXT wireless communications test sets include dual-band DC-HSDPA, HSPA+ MIMO, TD technologies, the latest VoLTE solutions and full 2G/3G/LTE handovers.

Fast manufacturing tests solutions for wireless devices: Key elements of Agilent’s high-throughput manufacturing test solutions include an advanced sequence analyzer working in synchronization with new wireless chipset test modes and cost-effective multi-port capability enabling maximum throughput with minimal capital investment.

New software solutions for greater insight into LTE-Advanced physical layer: Agilent experts will show how easy and flexible LTE-Advanced signal generation is using Signal Studio software. They will also demonstrate in-depth LTE-Advanced analysis troubleshooting with 89600 Vector Signal Analyzer software, and one-button multi-standard radio (MSR) compliance testing application.

The new FieldFox handheld analyzer family: Designed to meet the needs of installation and maintenance technicians, and withstand the toughest working conditions, FieldFox analyzers enable users to boost productivity of on-site measurements and lower operating costs by combining up to 10 instruments in one. These handheld analyzers weigh just 3 kilograms and are flexible enough to meet the needs of novices and experts alike for precision wherever they go.

At the show, copies will be available of Agilent’s new "LTE and the Evolution to 4G Wireless Design and Measurement Challenges, Second Edition,” which includes over 40 authors and 648 pages. This edition is updated with the latest 3GPP standards, including LTE-Advanced and follow-on releases, and has more detail on physical and upper layers, MIMO and advanced receiver testing, functional and conformance testing and non-signaling manufacturing.
