Prudential Annuities Appoints Michael Gillespie to Manage Bank Sales

Prudential Annuities, the domestic annuity business for Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU), announced today the appointment of Michael Gillespie as National Sales Manager for its Financial Institutions Team, formerly called the bank channel. Gillespie, a 21-year industry veteran, joins Prudential Annuities from Hartford’s Planco Financial Services, where he served as Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Division managing the wirehouse, banks and independent channel sales teams. Both Gillespie’s appointment and the function name change are part of Prudential’s ongoing commitment to the distribution of annuities through financial institutions.
