NXP Semiconductors N.V. Q4 Profit Decreases, But Beats Estimates

(RTTNews) - NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NXPI) announced a profit for fourth quarter that decreased from the same period last year but beat the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line came in at $495 million, or $1.93 per share. This compares with $697 million, or $2.68 per share, last year.

Excluding items, NXP Semiconductors N.V. reported adjusted earnings of $817 million or $3.18 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $3.13 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the period fell 9.1% to $3.111 billion from $3.422 billion last year.
