Nike Inc Announces 20% Increase In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Nike Inc (NKE) announced earnings for its third quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $950 million, or $0.55 per share. This was higher than $791 million, or $0.45 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.49 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.6% to $8.03 billion. This was up from $7.46 billion last year.
