Monster.com Makes it Easier – to Network, to Connect to Jobs – with the Introduction of More New Resources for the Workforce

As part of its mission to provide the world’s largest open, interconnected network of job opportunities, Monster Worldwide (NYSE: MWW) has introduced a slew of new resources that make it even easier for people to find jobs and manage their careers. These new Monster services expand ways for people to connect on some of the worlds’ most popular social networks and mobile platforms, using new social applications designed for professional networking, job hunting and career management.

"While it’s nothing new that there are a slew of unemployed seekers actively looking for a job, there are many employed workers that are also on the hunt, but in a much more passive, informal way,” explained Matt Mund, vice president of product management at Monster.com. "Our intent is to make it easy for people to do both, using creative new job and career apps for all the ways that they like to stay connected.”

BeKnown™: The first global professional networking app for Facebook

Unveiled earlier this month, BeKnown™ is a professional networking app designed to allow Facebook users to establish a professional network on the world’s most popular social platform. With BeKnown, users can seamlessly identify and connect with their friends and professional contacts from multiple sources and grow their professional network, enhance their online professional identity and discover enriching career opportunities. All while keeping social activity with friends and family separate from work-related activity with professional contacts. BeKnown is available for download at http://apps.facebook.com/beknown in 19 different languages, and is accessible by any Facebook user.

Check-in with Monster.com on Foursquare, Gowalla

Monster’s mobile apps now support integration with popular check-in applications such as FourSquare, and Gowalla. This allows users to easily search for personalized jobs in cities where they have check-ins. Expanding support on mobile apps for these service providers reflect Monster’s continued commitment to the mobile audience and the adoption of mobile devices for job search.

Monster.com Interviews – now available on the iPad

With identical functionality to the Monster.com Interviews app for the iPhone, Monster.com has released an iPad specific version of the same application. The application is free and is designed to help job seekers prepare for the entire interview process – from pre-interview, to the big day, to post-interview follow-up.
