Kieran Mullins to Head MetLife's Life Insurance Underwriting and New Business Operations
MetLife announced today that Kieran Mullins has joined the company to
head the life insurance underwriting and new business operations of
Individual Business. He will report directly to Peggy Fechtmann,
executive vice president, Individual Business Operations and Services.
Mullins, a 22 year industry veteran, joins MetLife from Lincoln Life,
the life organization of Lincoln Financial Group, where he was a vice
president of Brokerage Underwriting. In this role, he was responsible
for underwriting life products for each distribution channel.

valuable addition to our retail life insurance business team as we
continue to build on our underwriting and new business competitiveness

underwriting and operational skills, coupled with his knowledge of and
experience with diverse distribution channels will make him a great
addition to our Individual Business Operations and Services senior team,”
adds Fechtmann.
Prior to joining Lincoln, Mullins worked for CIGNA for 11 years, both in
the Individual Insurance and Property & Casualty divisions. He held
several leadership roles, including Life and Disability Claim
Management, Workers’ Compensation Product
Management and Account Manager of UTC Self-Insured Program.
Mullins was born and raised in County Kerry, Ireland, and came to the
United States in 1980.
