Intuit Names Kiran Patel Chief Financial Officer

Patel, 57, joins Intuit from Solectron Corp. (NYSE:SLR), aleading global provider of electronics manufacturing and integratedsupply chain services, where he served as executive vice president andchief financial officer since 2001. In that role he led Solectron'sfinance, legal, investor relations and business developmentactivities.

Before joining Solectron, Patel had a 27-year career with CumminsInc., a worldwide designer and manufacturer of diesel and natural gasengines, engine components and subsystems. In addition to holding anumber of finance positions at both the operating unit and corporatelevels, he led a number of business units, including the company'sBrazil subsidiary and Fleetguard Inc. units. In 1996, he became vicepresident and chief financial officer and was promoted to executivevice president in 1999.
