Honeywell International Inc. Bottom Line Climbs 8% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Honeywell International Inc. (HON) revealed a profit for its second quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $1.28 billion, or $1.66 per share. This was up from $1.19 billion, or $1.51 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.64 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.1% to $9.99 billion. This was up from $9.78 billion last year.
