America's First Female African American Combat Pilot to Discuss Leadership at Comcast's Multicultural Intern Day

Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq:CMCSA, CMCSK):   WHAT: Vernice Armour, America's first female African American combat pilot, will speak to approximately 100 students from area universities and the Emma Bowen Foundation who hold internships with Comcast. This will kick off Comcast's second annual Multicultural Intern event.   As featured on Oprah Winfrey, CNN, Tavis Smiley, NPR, and others, Vernice Armour has emerged as a reputable speaker and author who during Operation Iraqi Freedom, she was recognized as America's First African-American Female Combat Pilot by the U.S. Department of Defense, and completed 2 combat tours of duty. Bowen Foundation was created in 1989 to prepare minority youth for careers in the media industry. The Foundation’s program is unlike traditional intern programs in that students work for partner companies during summers and school breaks from the summer following their junior year in high school until they graduate from college.
