New York, January 05, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") upgraded the senior unsecured rating of Altera Corporation to A1 from Baa1 reflecting Intel Corporation's (A1 stable) unconditional guarantee of payment when due for Altera's debt. This concludes a review initiated June 1, 2015 when Intel announced its acquisition of Altera, which closed December 28, 2015. Altera is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel. The outlook is stable.
