USANA Updates 2017 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (USNA) announced, for 2017, the company now expects consolidated net sales approaching $1.030 billion (the top end of the previously issued guidance of $1.015 billion and $1.030 billion); and earnings per share of approximately $3.70 (previous guidance was $3.50 and $3.70).

For the third quarter of 2017, earnings per share was $0.97 compared with $1.20 in the prior year period, a decrease of 19.2%. Third quarter EPS was $1.02 excluding incremental expense related to China and the company's previously disclosed internal investigation.

Third-quarter net sales were $261.8 million compared with $254.2 million in the prior-year period, or a 3.0% increase year-over-year. The company's total number of active Customers increased by 2.4% year-over-year to 563,000.
