Unisys Selects DHL As Global Lead Provider for Customized Logistics Solutions; New Contract with Unisys to Deliver Seamless After-Market Service Parts Supply Chain

The agreement combines DHL's global service parts logistics anddistribution network capabilities with Unisys worldwide technologyservices and solutions. DHL will streamline Unisys logistics processesby managing the inventory and distribution of high technology andelectronics replacement parts, and by providing reverse logisticsservices for Unisys maintenance service customers from more than 270DHL Strategic Parts Centers in 55 countries. DHL's transportationservices for Unisys will include DHL's same day, Express, Ground andFreight services.

Beginning in calendar year 2007, DHL will transition Unisys ontoDHL's global service parts logistics technology platform. This newstate-of-the-art system was released last year to enable monitoring,management and inventory level reporting across regions, providingvisibility into status of orders throughout the supply chain frommultiple vendors.

Unisys has historically provided a selection of support servicesoptions to its customers, such as mission-critical support, fieldservice, maintenance, and repair -- with one of many third-partylogistics providers around the world. With the new agreement, Unisyswill have the ability to provide its full array of service optionsthrough DHL as its lead provider, matching the complex servicerequirements of each customer, and eliminating the need to assignservice orders to third-party providers across multiple systems.

DHL has provided services for Unisys since 1997 and currentlyhandles service parts logistics for Unisys in Australia, severalcountries in Europe, and in most of Latin America. The new contractwill extend DHL services into Europe; North and South America; theMiddle East and Africa; and the Asia Pacific region. The flexibilityand scalability of DHL's comprehensive offering will help enableUnisys to simplify service to clients while moving into new marketsquickly and reliably.
