The Allstate Corp Q4 Earnings Decline 15%

(RTTNews) - The Allstate Corp (ALL) released a profit for fourth quarter that retreated from last year.

The company said its bottom line dropped to $625 million, or $1.60 per share. This was down from $736 million, or $1.72 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.35 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.8% to $8.69 billion. This was down from $8.76 billion last year.
