The Allstate Corp Earnings Advance 2% In Q3

(RTTNews) - The Allstate Corp (ALL) revealed a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $610 million, or $1.52 per share. This was up from $598 million, or $1.39 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.31 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.0% to $9.03 billion. This was up from $8.94 billion last year.
