Semtech Corp Earnings Advance In Q4

(RTTNews) - Semtech Corp (SMTC) announced a profit for its fourth quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $28.51 million, or $0.42 per share. This was up from $24.48 million, or $0.37 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.41 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 0.2% to $142.11 million. This was up from $141.76 million last year.
