S&P Appoints Peter de Boer as Managing Director, Strategy and Business Development

NEW YORK, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's, the leading provider of financial market intelligence, announced today the appointment of Peter de Boer as managing director and head of Strategy and Business Development for Standard & Poor's.

"Peter brings a wealth of experience to Standard & Poor's ranging from his tenure in investment banking to his significant work in deal origination and execution," says Deven Sharma, President of Standard & Poor's. "He has a successful track record building strategic relationships that drive innovation and business growth."

In this newly created role, Peter will be responsible for identifying innovative ways Standard & Poor's can serve its customers throughout the world. He will lead Standard & Poor's effort to identify new market opportunities and will oversee the evaluation and execution of potential acquisitions, investments and alliances. He will also be responsible for developing long-term strategies that include global and organic growth.

Peter joins Standard & Poor's from Morgan Stanley where he was executive director of the Investment Banking division for the Financial Institutions group, serving as a senior team member of the Global Financial Technology practice and responsible for client relationships, deal origination and execution. Prior to that, he was vice president of Investment Banking, Financial Institutions, for JP Morgan.
