Philippines Armed Forces Awards $20 Mln Contract To Elbit Systems

(RTTNews) - Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT) said it won a contract worth $20 million for the supply of upgraded armoured personnel carriers to the Philippines Armed Forces. The upgrade will include 25 mm unmanned turrets, 12.7 mm remote controlled weapon stations and fire control systems for 90 mm turrets. The armoured personnel carriers will be supplied over a one-year period.

The contract marks a significant breakthrough for Elbit Systems, as it is the first one awarded to the company in the Philippines, Elbit Systems noted.
