NVIDIA Q1 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) Thursday reported first-quarter profit of $136.5 million or $0.24 per share, up from $77.9 million or $0.13 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $166.1 million or $0.29 per share. On average, 27 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.19 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 16 percent to $1.10 billion from $954.7 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.08 billion.

Looking ahead to the second quarter, the company has forecast revenues of approximately $1.1 billion, plus or minus two percent. Analysts currently expect second-quarter revenues of $1.15 billion.
