Northern Trust Names New Leader for the Netherlands

Following the announcement that Northern Trust (Nasdaq: NTRS) would expand its continental Europe offering, it has hired Herman Prummel as country head, the Netherlands.

Prummel succeeds Wim van Ooijen who was recently appointed to lead Northern Trust’s business activities in Switzerland in addition to his existing role as head of Northern Trust’s German office.

Based in Amsterdam, Prummel is responsible for business development, sales and client activities for Northern Trust’s asset servicing business and will also work closely with the company’s local asset management team.

Prummel joins Northern Trust from BlackRock where he was chief operating officer for the Netherlands, Nordics and Isle of Man regions.
