Microsoft Announces Top Search Results Of Bing In 2014 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) said that according to Bing search data, 2014 was a year full of celebrity stargazing, sports spectating and high-end designers.

According to the list of Bing Search Trends, sports dominated the news in 2014, with the World Cup, Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics. The missing Malaysian Airlines jet and the worldwide Ebola outbreak also drove headlines this year.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian dethroned Beyonce Knowles as the most-searched person in 2014, while LeBron James emerged as the most-searched athlete, and President Barack Obama topped the list of most-searched politicians.

Microsoft noted that news about the passing away of comedic legends Robin Williams and Joan Rivers, and American author and poet Maya Angelou had people taking to the Internet and searching for their favorite moments of each star's life.
