Medical Properties Prices Public Offering Of 25 Mln Shares At$12.25 Per Share

(RTTNews) - Medical Properties Trust, Inc. (MPW) Thursday said it has priced its underwritten public offering of 25 million shares of common stock at a public offering price of $12.25 per share.

The company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 3.75 million shares of its common stock.

The company estimates that the net proceeds from the offering, after underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses, will be about $293 million or about $337.1 million, if the underwriters' option to purchase additional shares is exercised in full.

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to partially fund its previously announced acquisition of Capella Holdings, Inc.
