Mayor Shirley Franklin, Dr. Julianne Malveaux Show Saving Money Can Be Fun, Easy & Automatic with Wachovia

ATLANTA, April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Five lucky winners took the Way2Save Challenge on Thurs., Apr. 3, in an event at Centennial Olympic Park and won $2,000 each (*Wachovia released the names of four winners.) In addition, some celebrities came out to raise cash for charity.

Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and Economist Dr. Julianne Malveaux, president of Bennett College, made appearances to celebrate the re-opening of Centennial Olympic Park and help two great causes: The Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy, the first single-gender public college- preparatory school in Atlanta and The United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.

The Way2Save Challenge tested consumers' savings savvy and allowed them to unwind in the Relax and Save area, where guests received shoulder massages and learned how to find peace of mind in their financial lives. Prizes, games, and giveaways made this a fun event for everyone.

Five Winners Picked Up $2,000 Each

The five winners below will be entered in a drawing to fly to New York City to participate in the grand finale of the Way2Save Challenge the week of June 5. The winners from the Atlanta event are:
