Knob Creek(R) Bourbon Launches Redesigned Website to Provide Unique Bourbon Experience

The updated website reflects the characteristics of the Knob Creek enthusiast and compliments the brand’s "Drink Life Deeply” advertising campaign. The site features pioneering technology and dynamic interactive features from Yahoo!® that allow Knob Creek aficionados to expand their desire for bourbon knowledge and empower the explorer within them. Based on consumer insights, the main objective was to develop a site that is a relevant and useful resource for the Knob Creek target consumer, males aged 28-39. The driving forces behind the look, feel and content of the revamped site reflect how consumers discover, experience and recommend the bourbon brand. "Our research shows that Knob Creek enthusiasts take their time to explore life deeper and ‘go below the surface’, the same way we take the time to make our bourbon,” said Paige Guzman, associate brand manager for Knob Creek. "The site provides our consumers with a unique bourbon experience and opportunities to increase their bourbon knowledge.” Keeping with the Knob Creek personality of exploration and discovery, the website features a special section called "The Expedition Room,” an online community board where consumers can post areas of interest, places of discovery or everyday unique experiences. The Expedition Room uses cutting edge mapping technology from Yahoo!® Maps to further localize/personalize the brand experience. In addition to The Expedition Room, the Knob Creek website features the following content sections: "Heritage”: An online "photo album” that outlines the history and tradition of Knob Creek, and offers a guide to tasting and enjoying bourbon. "Recipes”: A database of epicurean and cocktail Knob Creek recipes. Members are also encouraged to post their favorite bourbon recipes and comment on others. "Study”: A special informational section that enables consumers to "Ask a Whiskey Professor” by posing questions to one of Knob Creek’s whiskey experts. In addition, "News of the Unique” features headlines from international and national media outlets that highlight interesting and quirky idiosyncrasies of life. "Share”: Created for community members, the section is a virtual library of inspirational words and memories that consumers have submitted. Consumers can then elect to create bottle labels which they can customize with their own messages. "Join the Stillhouse”: Created for consumers to join the Knob Creek relationship marketing program which is designed to give consumers additional engagement opportunities with the brand. Among other program benefits, members receive access to an exclusive section of the website, e-mail alerts regarding upcoming events and brand newsletters. You must be a U.S. resident and 21 years of age or older to join. Membership is complimentary. Knob Creek has grown at a double-digit rate in each of the past 13 years.
