Intel Shares Gain 8% As GPU Market Outlook Strengthens
(RTTNews) - Intel Corporation (INTC) shares rose 8.47 percent, climbing $3.12 to $39.90 on Friday, after a new industry report projected strong long-term growth for the U.S. graphics processing unit market.
The stock is trading at $39.90, compared with a previous close of $36.78 on the Nasdaq. Today's range is between $37.35 and $39.85, with volume at about 55.38 million shares.
Intel's 52-week range is $17.67 to $42.48.
The report estimates the market will expand from $19.03 billion in 2024 to $136.07 billion by 2033, driven by rising demand across gaming, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure, and data-intensive applications.
