Horace Mann Educators Reveals 19% Advance In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Horace Mann Educators (HMN) reported earnings for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $28.7M, or $0.69 per share. This was up from $24.2 million, or $0.58 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.33 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.5% to $289.8 million. This was down from $291.3 million last year.
