Franklin Covey Profit Misses Estimates

(RTTNews) - Franklin Covey Co (FC), a provider of training and consulting services, on Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $1.2 million or $0.07 per share compared with $1.9 million or $0.11 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $48.3 million compared with $47.1 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.13 per share on revenues of $51.7 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Foreign exchange rates hurt revenues by $1.3 million in the quarter, the company said.

Gross margin fell to 62.7 percent from 63.4 percent a year ago.
