Facebook Moves To New Jumbo 'Single Room' Office With 9 Acre Rooftop

(RTTNews) - Nine acres of green grass with 400 trees and a half-mile-long walk way. We are not talking about any park, but the expansive rooftop of Facebook's new office. The 430,000 square feet office is a single room and it might be the largest open floor plan in the world.

The new headquarters, christened MPK 20, at Menlo Park complex, California has many outdoor spaces, where people can sit, think and work. Frank Gehry, who designed the building, said Mark Zuckerberg wanted an unassuming, matter of fact, cost effective building.

MPK 20 can hold all the 2800 employees of Facebook. The other premises that Facebook has in Menlo Park are connected to the new office through an underground walkway.
