Ensign Group Q2 Profit Down

(RTTNews) - Ensign Group Inc. (ENSG) Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $2.0 million or $0.09 per share, compared to net income of $12.4 million or $0.55 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $250.0 million, up from $220.1 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.57 per share and revenues of $248.14 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Moving ahead, the company maintained its 2014 guidance of earnings in a range $2.16 to $2.21 per share and revenues of $1.01 billion to $1.025 billion. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $2.18 per share on revenues of $1.01 billion.
