New record reached in Grammer Automotive revenue and order intake in the NAFTA region in 2015

First start-up of production for center consoles series at the new plant in Tupelo, Mississippi

Amberg, Germany / Troy, Michigan, United States, January 19, 2016 - Grammer Automotive, a globally active specialist in passenger vehicle interiors continued on its successful growth trajectory in North America last year. According to preliminary figures, the Automotive Division's NAFTA revenue exceeded EUR 160 million, thus exceeding the previous year's record figure by around 15 percent. In addition to the generally upbeat US light vehicles market, this very encouraging performance was particularly driven by new interior products for models produced by German and Northern American automotive OEMs.

At around EUR 600 million, order intake in the Automotive Division for the NAFTA region also reached a new record in 2015, almost doubling over the previous year's already high figure. Future growth and efforts to widen the company's share of the NAFTA market over the next few years are being underpinned by numerous headrest, consoles and armrest products.

Grammer Automotive addresses its Northern American automotive customers via its two production plants in Querétaro and Tetla in Mexico as well as its sales and development facility in Troy, Michigan in the United States. As well as this, Grammer has additionally strengthened its presence in the important US market with its new local facility in Tulepo in Mississippi, which is currently in the final preparations ahead of its first series start-up in the Automotive Division. From mid-2016, the new plant will be producing premium center consoles for a leading US automotive OEM. All told, Grammer Automotive is planning 15 new product start-ups in the NAFTA region over the next two years alone and is therefore confident of being able to continue its successful growth trajectory this year as well.

Grammer AG will be publishing its full annual report for 2015 on March 30, 2016.
