Capital Southwest Announces Divestitiure Of DataSpan

(RTTNews) - Media Recovery Inc, a portfolio company of Capital Southwest Corp (CSWC), Friday completed the divestiture of DataSpan Inc, a data storage, products, and management provider, to DataSpan Holdings. DataSpan Holdings is sponsored by Bonefish Capital. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"This transaction drives value for our investment in Media Recovery, as we were able to divest of another noncore business and strategically focus Media Recovery's capital on the exciting growth prospects of its core business, ShockWatch", said Joseph Armes, CEO of Capital Southwest.

In the last twelve months, Media Recovery has completed the divestiture of two of its three business units, DataSpan and DPC, while reinvesting some of that capital in the add-on acquisition of ShockLog for ShockWatch.

Based in Dallas, Texas, Media Recovery provides innovative solutions for safeguarding clients' assets. ShockWatch, a subsidiary of Media Recovery, provides solutions that enable over 3,000 customers and some 200 partners in 62 countries to detect mishandling that causes product damage and spoilage during transport and storage.
