Barnes & Noble to Open New Store at 342 Newnan Crossing Bypass Newnan, Georgia

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on September 19 in The Forum at Ashley Park at 342 Newnan Crossing Bypass, Newnan, Georgia. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a café serving Starbucks coffee. The new Newnan Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Newnan Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, September 18, from 6 to 10 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Communities in Schools program of Coweta County, which connects schools with community resources. Dale Lyles and the Lacuna Group will perform songs from their original musical based on Nancy Willard’s A Visit to William Blake’s Inn. Local children’s book illustrator and storyteller Joyce Revoir will host Storytime at 6:15 p.m., featuring her Little Garden Stories interactive DVD and CD. Local children’s author Mary Ann Rodman will host Storytime at 6:45 p.m., including her most recent title, First Grade Stinks! Local author Joe Harless will speak and sign copies of his books at 7:30 p.m., including Black Warrior’s Curse and The Eden Conspiracy. The store’s music department will feature RedDotNet, the most advanced listening and previewing technology.
