Allstate Names Julie Parsons Executive Vice President of Product Operations

NORTHBROOK, Ill., July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Allstate Insurance Company has promoted Julie Parsons to executive vice president of Product Operations. Previously, Parsons served as senior vice president for the Allstate brand's auto insurance business. She started with the Northbrook-based insurer in 1993 as an actuarial analyst after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in actuarial science. Steve Sorensen, who previously led Allstate's Product Operations, is now the executive vice president of Brand Operations for Allstate.

Parsons is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She has received the Chicago Anti-Defamation League Rising Star award and Purdue University's Outstanding Actuarial Alumni award. Parsons also was named to Diversity MBA Magazine's list of Top 100 Under 50 diverse executives and emerging leaders. In addition, she has received the Keith and Freddie Pedersen Distinguished Leadership award from the Barrington (Ill.) Area Council on Aging in recognition of her work as president of the group's board of directors.

Parsons also serves on the advisory board of the Posse Foundation of Chicago. The organization identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes. The group places students into a "posse" of like-minded students to support their academic success.

Parsons lives in the north suburbs of Chicago with her husband and two daughters.
