Adobe Profit Tops Estimates, Revenue In Line

(RTTNews) - Publishing and design software maker Adobe Systems Inc (ADBE) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $147.5 million or $0.29 per share, compared with $88.5 million or $0.17 per share last year.

Excluding stock-based compensation expense and other one-time items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.48 per share, compared with $0.37 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $1.16 billion, compared with $1.07 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.45 per share on revenues of $1.16 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
