Eurozone Inflation Rises As Estimated In July
(RTTNews) - Eurozone inflation increased, as initially estimated, in July final data from Eurostat showed Thursday.
Inflation rose to 0.2 percent from 0.1 percent in June. Prices have increased for the second straight month in July.
Headline inflation has been below the European Central Bank's target of 'below, but close to 2 percent' since early 2013.
Core inflation that excludes energy, food, alcohol and tobacco held steady at 0.9 percent in July.
Both consumer and core inflation figures matched the preliminary estimate published on July 29.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices declined 0.6 percent in July.
