China Manufacturing PMI On Tap For Monday
(RTTNews) - China will on Monday see September results for the HSBC/Markit flash manufacturing PMI, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Analysts are expecting the index to show a score of 50.9, up from 50.1 in August.
Malaysia will release July numbers for unemployment; in June, the unemployment rate was 2.7 percent, with a participation rate of 67.8 percent.
Singapore will provide inflation data for August, with forecasts suggesting an increase of 0.4 percent on month and 1.9 percent on year. That follows the 0.3 percent monthly gain and the 1.9 percent annual increase in July.
Hong Kong also will release CPI figures for August; in July, inflation was at a two-year high 6.9 percent.
Finally, the markets in Japan will be closed on Monday in observance of the Autumnal Equinox; they will re-open on Tuesday.
