BRAZIL: Economists Keep Estimates For 2017 GDP Growth Unchanged At 0.34%

(RTTNews) - Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank kept unchanged their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 at 0.34% for the fourth consecutive week. For 2018, the median forecast for GDP growth remained at 2.00% for the fifth week in a row.

Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 were revised upwards, to 51.70%, from 51.50% last week, while for 2018 forecasts increased to 55.24%, from 55.15% last week.

Projections for Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 fell to 0.81%, from 0.83% in the last two weeks. For 2018, economists estimates fell for the third week, to 2.06%, from 2.22% last week.
