Whirlpool Corporation -- Moody's Upgrades Whirlpools' senior unsecured rating to Baa1; outlook is stable
New York, February 26, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's") today upgraded Whirlpool Corporation's ("Whirlpool") senior unsecured rating to Baa1 from Baa2. This action was due to Moody's expectation that Whirlpool's operating performance and credit metrics will continue to improve. It also reflects Moody's expectation that the company has enough financial flexibility and liquidity to withstand a reasonable economic downturn and still maintain a strong credit profile. The rating outlook is stable.
