Moody's: US apparel companies going direct to consumers for growth

New York, April 01, 2014 -- US apparel companies are building their presence online and opening their own branded stores to bolster growth over the longer term, Moody's Investors Service says in a new report, "Apparel Firms Are Amping Up Online and New-Store Growth to Fuel Revenue." The direct-to-consumer approach also gives them more control over brand marketing, while shoppers like the convenience.
