New York, July 16, 2014 -- The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) would largely increase Medicare reimbursement rates paid to US healthcare providers in its proposals for 2015, a credit positive for most of the healthcare companies that Moody's rates. The new rates, which would take effect as of 1 January 2015 if adopted, would largely benefit acute care hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and dialysis providers, while proposed reimbursement declines for home health, physician and radiation oncology services could pressure those sub-sectors.
