Moody's: Hot summer in the US won't heat up power prices
New York, August 22, 2016 -- A hotter-than-average summer will not prevent declines in power prices for merchant generators in the United States, according to a new report from Moody's Investors Service. Despite the high summer demand for electricity, which typically results in higher prices, actual and forward power prices across the country for the third quarter of 2016 are little changed from a year ago, which will likely result in full-year declines.
