Yes, Even You: Your Netflix Monthly Charge Is Going Up

(RTTNews) - Millions of Netflix customers will start paying higher charges for their Netflix subscription starting next month, but, most of them have no idea about it.

Last year in May, Netflix had raised the price of its standard plan for new subscribers to $9.99 per month. But, existing subscribers for the last several months had been enjoying old subscription price of $7.99 per month.

Starting next month old customers will also have to pay $9.99 per month. Around 37 percent of Netflix's subscriber base or around 17 million customers are still on the grandfathered price plan.

Meanwhile, about 80 percent of the customers are not aware of the hike in their monthly charges, according to surveys.
