World Fuel Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - World Fuel Services Corp (INT), a fuel logistics company, Wednesday reported first-quarter net earnings of $50.7 million or $0.71 per share compared with $48.7 million or $0.68 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $58.5 million or $0.83 per share compared with $55 million or $0.77 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $10.6 billion compared with $10.2 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.67 per share on revenues of $10.46 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
